I also would like to donate puzzles that are in excellent and new condition, some Christmas cards that are not used and in perfect condition as well as a majority of other new cards for many different occasions that they might like to send tho family or relatives.

With COVID still lurking around, plus the flu and RSV, I think some senior living facilities won't take books or magazine donations. I see that my doctor offices, none of them have brought out the waiting room magazines.

Assisted livings and Nursing homes will take them. If you have an ARC workshop for the disabled near you, the one near me takes used cards and recycles them.

Any Senior Center, Care facility (any level of care IL, AL, MC) would probably love a donation.

I would also consider donating to any Senior Center. My small, local senior center is happy to accept the exact type of items you mentioned. But, books are heavy so maybe you need to find a place that will do a pick-up? You can research it online:

Hi Angela,
We aren't affiliated with East Lake Center, and because you haven't filled in a profile about who you are and where you live, who you are caring for, we can't even google you up a phone number.
My suggestion would be to type in East Lake Center and your city and see what comes up on your computer. Then give them a call. It's a kind offer. Try your library and call any local book stores as well.
What you have reached here on AC is a group of caregivers advising one another and questioners from all over the world who have caregiving questions. So we can't be of too much help to you now, as you clean things up after a loss of your loved ones. Our condolences. Sounds like with their puzzles, their books, and your help, they were lucky in having support.
