I had insurance and a few times that changed I also made copay during this time the medical supply apparently was sold at least once but there are three different names. I had always let them know insurance and they had my address, email, and phone. I have been in same home all along. At some point I was contacted and I allowed payments from my account and they took payments for a while and then stopped. I heard nothing from them until February 2023 when I got a letter demanding four thousand dollars. I called and the woman told me to just throw letter away and wait until I was told differently. Then during that year again some payments were taken from my account and then abruptly stopped. On July 2024 I began having issues with my machine and called. The lady I spoke with at first couldn't find my account then she said I got the machine in 2024, then she said they had changed their bookkeeping in 2018 and she said something about 2019 that she was unclear on. Then she said the account was going to collections. At no time have they contacted me other than emails before they took payments out except in 2023. I usually ordered my supplies from Amazon because it was cheaper than the supply company. I just got a letter about collections so I am trying to find out what is my responsibility in this mess. I didn't do anything intentionally and frankly this is a result of their sloppy bookkeeping and the changes in ownership. So I hope you can suggest to me how to handle this matter. Are the machines mine or theirs and can they legally bill me? This has been over seven year span and I have no records except for the last time they took payments from my account.

It has been 5 years. Your doctor can write a script for a replacement. You can also call your Medicare to see what your rights are. This extra billing sounds like fraud.

Your not the first person who has had problems with a company who has something to do with these concentrators. Are you aware after a period of time you own it.
